Jesús and Angelica

The Angel parents moved to Honduras with their one-year-old son Joshua in 1983 and raised him and their two younger children Veronica and Jonathan in Central America, the US, and Mexico, serving as missionaries faithfully until their deaths in 2017 and 2021.

We are gathering stories from their lives and would be blessed to hear yours if you have one.

Carrying the baton

Josh and Jonathan brought their wives and young families to the LAM base outside of Guadalajara, Mexico in 2016 and 2017 respectively, both also feeling a strong call to missions and service from the Lord.

Although our families have separate ministries and ways of connecting with supporters, we work together on many things and are blessed to be raising the next generation together.

Josh

Pastor, papa, and drill sergeant, Josh carries the responsibility for much of the ministry. His passion is to see Christians take their faith outside the four walls of the church with conviction and courage to stand up to evil and speak truth.

His main project these days is the Forge program, which is an immense challenge. However, the feedback from those who have gone through the program keep him encouraged that it’s worth the sacrifice to provide a context for transforming lives.

Anne

Writer, administrator, and behind the scenes everything else, Anne tries to keep the family and ministry’s priorities straight while homeschooling her and Josh’s two kids.

Born and raised in the Midwest as a pastor’s daughter, Anne knew from a young age she wanted to be a missionary. She just never knew where until she met Josh and signed on for following him and the Lord’s leading to Mexico.
